Arts Liaisons have access to yearly professional learning events to help them hone skills and strategies to improve and expand arts programming in their school community. At these events, they’re also eligible to win cash prizes, art supplies, and other valuable arts classroom materials!

Arts Liaison Leadership Development Sessions

Our revamped Arts Liaison Leadership Development program offers four sessions designed to help Liaisons increase the impact of their leadership in their school and in the district. Based on need and interest, Liaisons will choose one of three learning tracks and will receive in-depth training in that track at every session:

  1. Finding the Funding: Write effective grant proposals, secure other external funding, and find free/cheap arts supplies and resources to maximize your budget.
  2. Building Buy-In: Hone your negotiation, communication, and advocacy skills in order to secure sustained commitment to the arts in your school community.
  3. Leading the Way (Without Losing Your Mind): Facilitate school arts integration and arts programming efforts by building collaboration systems and sharing the work with peers.

Ingenuity Summit Series

The Summit Series, hosted by Ingenuity, brings schools, teachers, and community arts partners together to identify and fill the most pressing arts needs in each school. Eat, drink, and mingle with peers and arts partners, and walk away with next steps to form sustainable partnerships—and maybe some cash prizes, too!

Based on feedback from teachers and arts partners, Ingenuity is introducing a new format for the Summit Series! This year, they will host two “mega-Summits” showcasing six disciplines (theatre, music, dance, visual arts, media arts, and literary arts). These Summits will happen in the Fall and Spring—the best times of the year for partnership matchmaking.
