Arts Liaisons have access to yearly professional learning events to help them hone skills and strategies to improve and expand arts programming in their school community.
February 11, 2020: ARTS LIAISON ROUNDTABLE
The Arts Liaison initiative is a cornerstone of the CPS Arts Education Plan. Since the 2013-14 school year, Liaisons have not only provided valuable data on the state of arts education in the district, they’ve stepped up as school and community leaders and tireless advocates of quality arts education for all students in Chicago Public Schools.
As we enter this new decade, the CPS Department of Arts Education and Ingenuity are hosting an Arts Liaison Roundtable to “take the pulse” of Liaisons across the district and hear directly from you about the role and its responsibilities: What is working? What needs improvement? How can we better support you in your role? How might the role change and evolve as we set our sights on the future of arts education? Please join us to give us your critical feedback, share your successes and challenges, and help shape the Arts Liaison role for the years to come!
IMPORTANT NOTE: This Roundtable is taking the place of the Empowered Arts Educator: Building Buy-In session previously scheduled for February 11th. The Buy-In event will be rescheduled for a later date.
