How do teachers and students participate?
This year, there is an online submissions portal to which teachers upload jpegs of their students’ works for submission into the exhibition for their region (No/NW, So./SW, or West, or all). The Exhibition Coordinators will make selections on the art work that will be placed into the exhibitions based on dimensions, media, and style of artwork. You will be notified by the submissions portal directly on which works of art were selected.

The submissions portal will ask to you add information about the student artists so that the Exhibition Coordinators can make labels for the works of art.

Additionally, the portal automatically issues a consent form that students must complete and sign. Teachers should drop off the artwork and the consent form to you at the exhibition location on the dates indicated in the attached calendar.

Any work submitted that is not selected for the exhibitions will be made available on an electronic gallery housed on the CPS Arts website. Plus, if you upload a lesson plan, from which that work of art was produced, the student’s artwork will be accompanied by its lesson plan for other teachers to see and use.
