What is All-City Performing Arts?

The All-City Performing Arts Program invites students in grades 3–12 from all across the district to perform and create within music, dance, and theatre ensembles every Saturday throughout the fall and spring semesters.

At the beginning of each school year, students at beginning to advanced levels in their art forms are encouraged to apply for ACPA Winter Ensembles in music, theatre and dance. Beginning in early fall, students who are accepted rehearse every Saturday, receiving exceptional instruction from highly-qualified CPS teachers and teaching artists. They go on to perform at a Winter Showcase in December.
Students from Winter Ensembles may be eligible for nomination to the ACPA Spring Ensembles. (Students who were not part of the Winter Ensembles can also apply and audition to join Spring Ensembles.) These students rehearse on Saturdays throughout the Spring semester and go on to perform at a Spring Showcase.
