Theatre Building Chicago

Theatre Building Chicago launched the New Musicals for Kids Series in 2006, which presents brand new musicals written specifically for ages Pre K-2nd grade. Each show is held in one of the three performance spaces at Theatre Building Chicago and uses professional actors, directors, musicians and designers to bring the shows to life. The performances run approximately one hour and encourage audience participation. We offer three different musicals per season. Every class that attends receives a study guide with activities and discussion questions related to the show that are useful both before and after the performance. These educational resources fulfill up to 15 of the Illinois State Learning Standards for the Pre-K to 2nd grade age range. Chaperones receive complimentary tickets.
