This Spring exhibition, curated by the CPS Department of Arts Education, features 2D, 3D, and digital artwork by CPS elementary school students. All CPS students in grades PreK–8 are eligible to apply.

Special 2018-19 All-City Student Opportunities
CPS Student Artwork Exhibit in Conjunction with Chicago Symphony Orchestra’s Pictures From an Exhibition
The Negaunee Music Institute at the Chicago Symphony Orchestra and the CPS Department of Arts announce an exciting collaboration between the CSO and the CPS All-City Visual Art (ACVA) exhibitions.
Up to 50 student works will be selected for an exhibition that will accompany performances of Mussgorsky’s Pictures From an Exhibition at the Symphony Center. The exhibition will run from May 16–21, 2019.
CPS elementary school teachers and students will be able to submit artwork as part of the submission process for the Elementary All-City Visual Arts Exhibition, starting February 27th.

All-City Student Auditions for Michigan’s Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp
The Department of Arts Education is pleased to offer All-City students in grades 5–12 a special opportunity to audition / prepare a portfolio for Blue Lake Fine Arts Camp, a summer school of the arts located on a 1,600 acre campus in Michigan’s Manistee National Forest.
Students can audition at Jones College Prep on February 16, 2019 from 9:00am–3:30pm.* Walk-in auditions are possible, but are first-come first-serve. Below are the requirements for auditions. (NOTE: Dance students will need to contact Blue Lake to schedule off-site auditions.
- Visual Art, grades 5–12: Students should bring a portfolio of work
- Music (Band, Jazz, Orchestra, or Chorus), grades 5–12: Students should perform a piece that shows them at their best (2 minutes max)
- Theatre, grades 5–12: Students should perform a piece that shows them at their best (2 minutes max)
*There will also be a short meeting at 12:00pm on February 16th at Jones for students and families to receive more information on the camp and available scholarships. All interested students may attend this meeting, but only Music, Theatre, and Visual Art students can audition the same day.
