All-City Visual Arts Programs provide a unique opportunity to showcase student achievement in visual and media arts and exhibit their work in highly-visible, public exhibition spaces in Chicago.

Senior Portfolio Exhibition

In partnership with the School of the Art Institute of Chicago (SAIC), the All-City Senior Portfolio Exhibition gives CPS high school seniors the opportunity to exhibit their artwork and to gain exposure among selected admissions representatives of various colleges and universities.

Important Dates for 2019 Senior Portfolio:

Submission window open: October 30–November 30, 2019
Notification of acceptance into exhibition: December 9, 2019
Artwork drop-off at the SAIC Neiman Center, 37 S. Wabash Ave: December 16, 2019
Exhibition at the SAIC Neiman Center: January 6–12, 2020
Opening Reception at the SAIC Neiman Center: January 7, 2020, 4:30pm–7:30pm
Artwork pick-up at the SAIC Neiman Center: January 14, 2020


High School Visual Arts Exhibition

This Spring exhibition showcases 2D, 3D, and digital artwork by CPS high school students. Students in grades 9–12 from any CPS school (including district-managed, charter, contract, and options schools) are eligible to apply.

UPDATE: In light of district, city, and state COVID-19 guidelines, the 2020 High School Exhibition will now be online.

Important Dates for 2020 Online High School Exhibition:

Submission window open: April 1–May 1, 2020

Notification of acceptance into exhibition: May 11, 2020

Missing Information Deadline: May 15, 2020 (Failure to submit a media release or any other required information could result in removal from the exhibition.)

Online Exhibition Opening: May 27, 2020


Elementary School Visual Arts Exhibition

This Spring exhibition features 2D, 3D, and digital artwork by CPS elementary school students. Students in grades PreK–8 from any CPS school (including district-managed, charter, contract, and options schools) are eligible to apply.
